András Tóth

András Tóth joined the Budapest office of White & Case in 2007 as a senior member of the Competition and Telecommunications practice groups. (see his work experiences here) In 2008, he was seconded for 6 months to the White & Case Brussels office where he focused on European cartel and multi-jurisdictional merger cases. Prior to joining White & Case, András was a senior case handler at the Infocommunications Department of the Hungarian Competition Authority. (see his work experiences here)

András also worked as temporary expert at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition in Brussels. He also spent four years as a research fellow at the Centre for Infocommunications Law at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Institute for Legal Studies, where he carried out scientific research in the field of media and telecommunication and other network industries.

András is a member of the editorial board of a scientific journal on electronic communication and media and he has recently released a book on the regulation and competition law aspects of these subjects. He also regularly gives lectures on telecommunication law and competition law to postgraduate and graduate students at two Hungarian Universities. Since March 1, 2010 he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Commercial Law of Károli Gáspár University.
